Inline first layer message

   Permission: Campaign entities

An inline first layer message allows your organization to add to or replace the content of an existing HTML element on a web page with your first layer message. This display is achieved by inputting the target HTML element's ID or class in the first layer message builder.

Click Messages on the left-hand panel and select a regulatory regime (GDPR Messages, U.S. Privacy Messages (Legacy), or U.S. Multi-State Privacy Messages).

Click Web/Webview from either subsequent menu.

Note: When building a message for the GDPR regulatory regime, you will have the option to select either a Web/Webview message for either TCF or Standard.

Use the subsequent page to customize the first layer message for the property.

Note: Sourcepoint recommends that you begin the configuration of the first layer message from a template.

While on the Home view of the first layer message builder expand the Settings accordion on the left-hand Settings panel.

Select Inline from the Message Type field. Use the subsequent field to input the div target type (Class or ID) or name.

Note: If using a Sourcepoint system template, it will already have a target name (e.g. sp-message).

The ID or class name needs to be unique and placed on your page where you would like the inline first layer message to show.

Click Create Message when finished to save your progress.
