Permission: Campaign entities
An end-user's UUID is a Sourcepoint assigned identifier against which the end-user's consent record is stored in the Sourcepoint system and enables us to identify, retrieve, update, and delete the correct consent record when necessary. In this article, we will cover how to add the end-user's UUID to your property's first layer message.
Use Case
Include the end-user's UUID in the first layer message to allow the end-user to easily retrieve the value and share with your organization when performing a Digital Subject Access Request (DSAR).
Navigate to a first layer message for a web property and click/add a text component in your first layer message builder in which you wish the UUID to appear.
With the text component selected, navigate to the Settings pane and expand the Content accordion.
In the provided space for the component's content, select the UUID icon in the toolbar to add the end-user's UUID to the component.
The variable $$!UUID!$$
will be added to the content.
Note: When previewing the first layer message in the Sourcepoint portal the $$!UUID!$$
variable will be rendered as null
. On the initial pageview for new end-users visting your property, the $$!UUID!$$
will be rendered as 0000-0000-0000
.
Repeat as necessary for any translations you may have for your first layer message.
Click Save Message when finished.
