Permission: Vendor list - GDPR
The active status for a GDPR TCF or GDPR Standard vendor list allows your organization to quickly view and set a vendor list as "live" for your organization. The distinction between active and inactive vendor lists is an important distinction when adding properties to your vendor list. In this article, we will cover the following for GDPR TCF or GDPR Standard vendor lists:
Properties on active vs inactive vendor list
Properties added to a GDPR TCF or GDPR Standard vendor list will have the details configured in the vendor list populated in that property's privacy manager, OTT message, and/or first layer message. This relationship means that for any given property, these messages can only be associated with a single active GDPR TCF or GDPR Standard vendor list (i.e. it can only display the details for a single vendor list to an end-user at any given time).
However, a property can be added to a single active vendor list and multiple inactive vendor lists at the same time so that your organization can preview your messages using multiple vendor lists in your message builders
Note: If a property is associated with both an active vendor list and an inactive vendor list, the inactive vendor list cannot be set to active until the property is removed from one of the vendor lists.
Edit active status for vendor list
To edit the active status for a GDPR TCF or GDPR Standard vendor list, navigate to the vendor list page and select a vendor list.
Under each vendor list name is an icon that indicates whether the vendor list is currently active or inactive.
From the vendor list builder, toggle the Active button to the desired setting and click Save when finished.
Note: If a property is associated with both an active vendor list and an inactive vendor list, the inactive Vendor List cannot be set to active until the property is removed from one of the vendor lists.
