Storage and access information disclosure (GDPR TCF)

In order to adhere to a clause in the IAB TCF policy (Appendix B D.c.VII), Sourcepoint adds a disclosure to all GDPR TCF privacy managers that discloses how the TC String is stored and the duration of that storage. In this article, we will cover the following for this disclosure:

The default text for the storage and access information disclosure is as follows:

The choices you make regarding the purposes and entities listed in this notice are saved in a local storage entry called euconsent for websites and sp_state for mobile apps. The information is stored for a maximum duration of 12 months. To ensure your choices are respected we associate them with a unique ID, which is stored in a cookie named consentUUID for websites and a local storage entry named sp.gdpr.consentUUID for mobile apps.

  Note: For your convenience, the above text will be automatically translated into your default language and any other languages your organization supports in its privacy manager.

Edit storage and access information disclosure

The default text and its translations are provided by Sourcepoint and can be edited by your organization if desired. Please be aware that if your organization chooses to edit the default text for this disclosure then you will need to edit the translation for the disclosure in every language supported by your privacy manager.

  Note: While we encourage all clients to update the default text of the disclosure to suit the style of their privacy managers, we remind everyone that this disclosure is a requirement by the IAB TCF policy and should not be removed completely.

From the GDPR TCF privacy manager builder for your property, select the privacy manager component in your message and expand the Vendor Content accordion in the Settings panel.

Edit the content found in the Consent Signal Storage Disclosure field.

Edit translations for the languages your organization supports by changing the Language field and editing the translation to the Consent Signal Storage Disclosure field.
