In this article, we will cover the various viewing and navigational tools available to your organization when utilizing vendor trace.
View toolbox
The view toolbox include the following navigational tools to alter the view of the vendor trace report:
Tool | Description |
Show Searched/All Vendors | Only available when using the vendor search functionality. Allows you to toggle between seeing where the specific vendor sits in the vendor chain or the entire vendor chain. |
Zoom | Zoom in or out of the vendor trace report by a fixed percentage. |
Collapse All | Collapse trace lines in the vendor chain |
Expand All | Expand all trace lines in the vendor chain to see how all vendors are triggering downstream vendors |
Prevalence range filter
The prevalence of a vendor refers to the percentage of scans where Sourcepoint has detected the vendor across all scans configured for the scan URL. For example, a vendor with a prevalence of 25% means that Sourcepoint detected the vendor in 25% of all scans for the scan URL.
Use the provided prevalence range filter to select the start of the range. Vendors with prevalences that are greater than or equal to the start of the prevalence range will be included in your visualization. For example, if you set the prevalence range filter to 50% then the visualization will only show vendors in the trace whose prevalences are between 50%-100%.
Expand/collapse single vendor
Vendors who trigger downstream vendors in the vendor chain can have all trace lines that originate from it collapsed by clicking the minus symbol to the right of the vendor name within the vendor trace visualization
Note: If expanding the trace line for a single vendor in the vendor chain, the vendor trace visualization will only expand the vendors in the layer immediately after the originating vendor.
Navigate across layers
If the vendor trace reportsexceeds the viewable area in the visualization (either due to a long vendor chain or zooming in) you can navigate across the layers via the provided arrows in the upper-right hand corner of the visualization
