Custom JS actions allow your organization to execute javaScript when a button or link is clicked in a privacy manager, first layer message, or custom message. This functionality provides you with increased flexibility to insert your own logic into messages created within the Sourcepoint portal and solve your particular use cases.
Note: Your custom javaScript will be executed in the parent window where the wrapperMessagingWithoutDetection.js
runs. Be advised that you may run into issues if your organization has a content security policy not allowing reverse injection.
From the builder for a privacy manager, first layer message, or custom message, a custom JS action can be added by:
Select the button component in the builder and navigate to the Settings panel on the left-hand rail. Expand the Action accordion.
Select Custom JS from the dropdown menu and add your javaScript into the provided space.
Click Save Message when finished.
Highlight a portion of text that will execute the javaScript and click the icon in the toolbar.
Select Custom javaScript from the dropdown menu and add your javaScript into the provided space. Click Save when finished.
Click Save message.
