Adobe Experience Data Collection Extension

Sourcepoint's Adobe Experience Data Collection Extension enables your organization to quickly and easily deploy a consent message experience configured within the Sourcepoint portal onto your webpage for multiple regulatory and industry frameworks via Adobe Experience Data Collection. In this article, we will cover:

  Note: The following sections assume that you have configured the necessary vendor lists, messages and other campaign entities for your web property within the Sourcepoint portal.


Prerequisites

Sourcepoint's Adobe Experience Data Collection Extension is compatible with web properties utilizing multi-campaign (4.x.x).


Install the extension

From your organization's Adobe Experience Data Collection page, click Tags on the left-hand menu and select the property on which you wish to install the extension.

On the property page, click Extensions on the left-hand menu and select the Catalog tab.

Use the provided search bar to find Sourcepoint CMP. Navigate to the extension in the results and click Install.

Sourcepoint's Adobe Experience Data Collection Extension will be installed on the property. 


Configure the extension

Once the extension is installed on the property, navigate to the extension and click Configure in the extension pane.

From the subsequent page your organization can enter its account information and campaign message types. Please refer to the table below for each available field:

  Note: Keep in mind the naming conventions and guidelines outlined on the page when completing the fields. 

Field Description
Account ID The account ID value associates the property with your organization's Sourcepoint account. Your organization's account ID can be retrieved by contacting your Sourcepoint Account Manager or via the My Account page in your Sourcepoint account.
CNAME Domain The baseEndpoint is a single server endpoint that serves the messaging experience. By default the baseEndpoint is https://cdn.privacy-mgmt.com however it can be changed to a CNAME first-party subdomain to persist first-party cookies on Safari web browser. Leave field blank if your organization is not using a CNAME
Property Name Maps the implementation to a specific URL as set up in the Sourcepoint account dashboard.
GDPR TCF (IAB TCF 2.2) Select if your property has a GDPR TCF message campaign configured for the web property.
GDPR Standard Select if your property has a GDPR Standard message campaign configured for the web property.
USNAT Only Select if your property has a U.S. Multi-state Privacy message campaign configured for the web property.
USNAT w/ US Privacy String Select if your property has a U.S. Multi-state Privacy message campaign configured for the web property and you still wish to support the US Privacy String.

Click Save when finished.


Configure rules 

While viewing the property page, click Rules on the left-hand menu and then select Add Rule.

Give your rule a Name (e.g. Add Sourcepoint CMP) and select + Add underneath the Events header. Configure the event so it adheres to the following:

  • Extension: Core
  • Event Type: Library Loaded (Page Top)

  Note: Using the Library Loaded (Page Top) event type ensures that Sourcepoint's tags are loaded as soon as Adobe's Experience code is loaded.

Click Save when finished. 

Next, click + Add underneath the Actions header. Configure the action so it adheres to the following:

  • Extension: Sourcepoint CMP
  • Action Type: Start CMP

Click Save when finished.
