Permission: Vendor List - U.S. Multi-State
The Identification List is text accompanying your opt-out privacy choices that allows an end-user to visit a URL where they can see and opt-out of downstream participants who might re-sell or re-share their personal information for the purpose of delivery ads tailored to the interests. In this article, we will cover the following:
Note: The Identification List is only a feature of U.S. Multi-State Privacy (National) vendor lists.
From a U.S. Multi-State Privacy (National) vendor list, click Privacy Choices and then select the Opt Out Choice tab.
The two choices that end-users can opt out of are:
- Sharing of Personal Information/Targeted Advertising
- Sale of Personal Information
Your organization can select each choice individually if you only do one of the choices or want each option listed separately in your message. Optionally, if your organization engages in both choices, you can choose to list both choices as a single opt-out statement in your message.
Note: By default, the Identification List for your U.S. Multi-State vendor list defaults to deactivated.
Show Identification List
Navigate to Show Identification List and enable to the toggle.
Once enabled, the text and any translations for supported languages for the Identification List can be viewed on the Language & Translations page under the Identification List tab.
Note: The copy for the text and its translations are uneditable and provided by Sourcepoint.
Once the vendor list is saved, the Identification List text will be added to the opt out privacy choices.
Hide Identification List
Navigate to Show Identification List and deactivate to the toggle.
Once deactivated, the Identification List tab will be hidden on the Language & Translations page. When the vendor list is saved, the Identification List text will removed from the opt out privacy choices.
