Add Multi-State Privacy Agreement Signatory ID (National)

   Permission: Vendor List - U.S. Multi-State

The Multi-State Privacy Agreement is a complementary legal framework to the Multi-State Privacy String (technical signal) which is a joint legal agreement across industry participants that dictates obligations of partners on how the framework should be used in practice so that all participants have confidence that the framework is being used appropriately and in the same way.

Note: There is no obligation to sign the MSPA to leverage the Multi-State Privacy String, however if you do sign the MSPA a signal will be sent in the MSPS which indicates that the transaction is covered by the MSPA.

In this article, we will cover how to add your MSPA Signatory ID to a U.S. Multi-State Privacy (National) vendor list.

Click Vendor Management from the left-hand rail and select U.S. Multi-State Privacy from the menu.

When finished, click Save in the vendor list builder to confirm the addition.

By adding your MSPA Signatory ID, the MspaCoveredTransactions field in the relevant section (either national or state-specific) of the MSPS will be set to 1 (i.e. Yes).
